Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 726 people were killed and 1,491 others injured from 1,748 traffic accidents in May, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
The figures represent the increase of 106 accidents, 57 dead and 165 injured against last month.
Road accidents accounted for 1,720 cases, 707 dead and 1,450 injuries.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the Ministry of Transport to pay due attention to researching and rolling out measures to ensure traffic safety, and improving the quality of transport.
