Bothlocal and international tourists interested in Vietnam and its culture,people, attractions, tours, and services are also advised to check outVNAT’s official websites, including www.vietnamtourism.com ,www.vietnamtourism.gov.vn , www.vietnamtourism-info.com ,www.vietnam-tourism , and www.dulichvn.org.vn for more information.

The tourism sector brought a record 230 trillion VND (10.9billion USD) into the country last year, a 15 percent increase from theprevious year, after hosting nearly 7.8 million foreigners and 37.5million domestic visitors—an annual rise of 5.64 percent and 7.14percent, respectively.

In late September 2014, the “ExcitingVietnam” tourism promotion campaign launched with the slogan “Vietnam – asafe, friendly and attractive destination”.

Representativesfrom media outlets and travel agencies, both within Vietnam and from keymarkets including Japan, the Republic of Korea and Russia, were invitedto participate in press and FAM tours of the country.

Thecampaign also highlighted Vietnam’s tourism sector through internationaltourism fairs and domestic tourism promotion events.-VNA
