Top legislator extends congratulations to Cuba on National Day
Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue on December 31 sent a letter of congratulations to Esteban Lazo Hernández, President the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, on the occasion of the Caribbean nation’s 63rd National Day (January 1, 1959).

Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the VietnameseNational Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue on December 31 sent a letter ofcongratulations to Esteban Lazo Hernández, President the National Assembly ofPeople's Power of Cuba, on the occasion of the Caribbean nation’s 63rd National Day (January 1, 1959).
In his letter, Hue noted with pleasure the rare, exemplaryand faithful comradeship and fraternity between Vietnam and Cuba havebeen consolidated continuously and developed comprehensively amid unpredictableglobal uncertainties and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese legislature will make everyeffort to promote the special relationship between the two countries, as well asthe close cooperation between the two legislative bodies, for the sake of thepeople of both countries./.
Vietnam’s successes in maintaining macro-economic stability and major economic balances over the past time were thanks to the sound and flexible policies adopted by the Party and the Government, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén said.
Vietnam and Cuba reviewed cooperation outcomes this year and agreed on cooperation contents for 2022 during the 39th meeting of their Inter-Governmental Committee, held virtually in Hanoi on December 28.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has sent his congratulations to First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel on the occasion of Cuba’s 63th National Day (January 1, 1959 - 2022).
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.

The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is closely coordinating with relevant local agencies to stay informed and provide the utmost support possible for Vietnamese nationals.
