Togo wants to boost agricultural ties with Vietnam

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Togo Hoang Ngoc Ho has presented his credentials to Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe in the capital city Lome.

At a latermeeting, Ambassador Ho briefed the President on Vietnam’s renewalsuccesses and highlighted the friendship ties between Vietnam andAfrican countries in trade and investment, particularly agriculturalrelations based on the South-South framework.

Admiring the country’s considerable achievements, Togo’s Presidentdesired to further ties with Vietnam, especially in agriculture, povertyreduction and food security.

He expressed hissympathy to the Vietnamese Party, State and people at the passing ofGeneral Vo Nguyen Giap whom he much respected.

Earlier, the Ambassador met with Foreign Minister Robert Dussey,expressing his hope that Togo will create more conditions to support theVietnamese community on its land.-VNA
