Thang Long heritage centre receives historical documents

The Thang Long Heritage Conservation Centre on August 12 received more than 500 historical documents and objects related to a Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) meeting that played a decisive role in the liberation of the South and national unification.
The Thang Long Heritage Conservation Centre on August 12 received morethan 500 historical documents and objects related to a Communist Partyof Vietnam (CPV) meeting that played a decisive role in the liberationof the South and national unification.

The items weredonated by delegates attending the conference of the Politburo of theCPV Central Committee from December 18, 1974 to January 8, 1975.

Theevent took place inside the former Thang Long Imperial Citadel’s D67House and Bunker, which served as the military headquarters of GeneralVo Nguyen Giap during the war against the US .

Representatives from families of former Party, State and militaryleaders presented the centre with materials and tools the officials usedin their daily working life.

Among them are books andglasses used by Party General Secretary Truong Chinh, clothes, a watch,table clock, CV, bags and Party member card of Chairman of the StateCouncil Vo Chi Cong, as well as maps, glasses and Ho Chi Minh badgebelonging to General Giap.

A display of these items will beorganised soon to help people understand more about the conference andthe values of the D67 House and Bunker, according to the centre.-VNA
