Thailand’s GDP growth forecast down

Thailand’s gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 3.1 percent this year, lower than the earlier projected growth of 3.2 percent this year and 4.2 percent next year.

Thailand’s gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 3.1 percent this year, lower than the earlier projected growth of 3.2 percent this year and 4.2 percent next year. The forecast was released by the Economic and Business Forecasting Centre under the Thai Chamber of Commerce on September 11.
The same day, an economist from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Luxamon Attapich , said the bank will revise down its GDP growth forecast for Thailand , for the second time this year , due to disappointing economic statistics in the first half of the year.
The new forecast is expected to be made at an ADB meeting on September 22. At the beginning of the year, the ADB said the Thai economy could grow by 3.2 percent.-VNA
