Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand’s Culture Minister has ledgovernment officials to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss preparations toorganize the "237th Year of Rattanakosin City under RoyalBenevolence" event from March 8-10.
At the meeting with Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, CultureMinister Weera Rojpojanarat explained that the event serves to build ties amongASEAN member states as well as dialogue partners.
Weera noted that ASEAN countries have a shared heritage, with diversetraditions and cultures that make up the unique identity of each nation. Heexpressed his belief that these traditions and cultures are worth sharing andpreserving for posterity.
The event will see the participation of 10 countries, including Vietnam,Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Chinaand India.-NNT/VNA
