Thailand wins Best Destination Asia Award at ITB 2019
The Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dr. Yuthasak Supasorn, has received the Go Asia Award in the Best Destination Asia category from Go Asia at the International Tourismus Borse (ITB) 2019, that took place at Messe Berlin in Berlin, Germany.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – The Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dr. Yuthasak Supasorn, has received the Go Asia Award in the Best Destination Asia category from Go Asia at the International Tourismus Borse (ITB) 2019, that took place at Messe Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
Go Asia (www.goasia.de) is a business-to-business (B2B) platform for the traveland tourism industry, with voting by sales representatives, tour agencies, and3,000 tourists.
In 2018, Thailand recorded 877,000 visitors from Germany, up by about 4.7percent from 2017. Switzerland and Austria are also two of the most importantmarkets in Europe for Thailand.
The Director of TAT’s Frankfurt Office, Denduan Luangcheng, said the TAT haspenetrated the second-tier markets and introduced interesting touristdestinations in Thailand.
