Thailand to hold World Soil Day in honour of late King

The Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) plans to hold World Soil Day across the country in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, viewed as soil scientist.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA)ꦡ - The Thai Ministry ofAgriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) plans to hold World Soil Day across thecountry in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, viewed as soilscientist. 

Thai Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister WiwadSanyakamthorn said the MOAC will hold this year's Word Soil Day under the themeof "Be the Solution to Soil Pollution" in honour of the late KingBhumibol Adulyadej who was respected as the world's first soil scientist forhumanity. 
The main event will be held during December 5-7 at GoldenJubilee Museum of Agriculture Office in Pathum Thani as well as events in allthe provinces throughout December to contemplate the late King's contributionto soil and land development.  The Word Soil Day will focus on encouraging the publicparticipation in solving the soil pollution and contribution to food safety andsecurity to realise the Zero Hunger sustainable development goal by the year2030.-NNT/VNA
