According to an announcement released by the court, the first hearing is scheduled on May 19.
If convicted for dereliction of duty, Yingluck could face ten years in jail.
Earlier in January, the legislature voted to impeach the ex-PM for herrole in the rice subsidy programme, which incurred national budgetlosses and cost the country’s place as the world's leading riceexporter.
With this accusation, she was banned from politics for five years.
So far, Yingluck has denied all the charges related to the rice subsidy programme.-VNA
