The Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council (APRC) has hosted a discussion on using social media creatively via public participation.
Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council(APRC) has hosted a discussion on using social media creatively via publicparticipation. 

The forum, entitled International Cyberspace: The New Frontier of Peace andCooperation, served as a platform to exchange ideas and knowledge from variousformer world leaders who have managed and developed national policies relatedto cyberspace.

The organisers hope that the event will kick start cooperation and foster unityand peace in the cyber world internationally. They also wish to set a directionin telecommunications technology policies by brainstorming experts in thefield, representatives of the private sector, academics and members of thepublic.

Participants discussed the dynamics between telecommunications and technologyand the importance of ensuring that the changes made between the two elementsare well within the boundary of rules, laws and culture of each nation. – NNT/VNA

The Ministry of Commerce reported that imports also rose 18% to 29.9 billion USD during the same period, resulting in a trade surplus of 1.1 billion USD. In May alone, Thailand posted a 4.6 billion USD trade surplus with the US and a 4.1 billion USD trade deficit with China.
