Thailand launches “Tourism for All 2019”

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) haslaunched a tourism campaign for state welfare cardholders to entice low-incomeearners to travel. 

According to TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn, the campaign “Tourism for All2019” is made possible by his agency, state units and the private sector. Heexplained that the programme aims at giving opportunities to all Thais, especiallylow-income earners and state welfare cardholders.  It is a New Year giftto the Thai citizens, he said.

The Tourism for All 2019 provides for free entry to tourism attractions inmilitary zones nationwide and gives discounts to state welfare cardholders onadmission fees at more than 100 tourist spots. The campaign will also hold alucky draw event for various volunteers. Rewards include free trips for theentire families of lucky winners. 

The eligible volunteers include the Village Health volunteers, the BangkokHealth volunteers, the Civil Defense volunteers and the Village SocialDevelopment and Human Security volunteers 

Furthermore, the year-long programme will feature several merit making and alms-givingactivities.-NNT/VNA
