Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai -Cambodian border economic zone in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province is launching acampaign to increase border trade.

The Deputy Governor of Sa Kaeo recentlytold government officials, military personnel, police officers, and Thaibusiness representatives at a seminar to enhance relations with neighbouringcountries. The seminar was also attended by the deputy governors of BanteayMeanchey and Battambang in Cambodia.

Officials from both countries aim tocollaborate in educating businesses on ways to reduce border trade barriers anddevelop distribution channels in both countries, in order to accommodategreater commercial activities.

The Governor of Battambang said the bordertrade development programme will serve connection with other economic zones ineastern Cambodia, which would enhance the stability of trade and investmentprogrammes.
