Hanoi (VNA) – Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanasak Patimapragorn and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen agreed to boost bilateral ties across var🍸ious domains during their meeting in Phnom Penh on January 23.

Later in the evening the same day, Tanasak and his host presided over a friendly football match between the Cambodia All Stars and the Buriram United of Thailand.
The game drew a huge crowd of approximately 50,000 fans and was broadcast live on Cambodia's PNN television channel and Thailand's TV3. Speaking at the end of the event, Tanasak hoped that the match would strengthen friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries.
He also suggested creating a Cambodia-Thailand football squad in order to play with teams in other countries. Tanasak’s visit to Cambodia is part of celebrations for the 65 th anniversary of the founding of bilateral diplomatic ties. There remains decade-long differences between the two countries over territorial sovereignty over Preah Vihear temple.-VNA
