The Thai Ministry of Labour is working to ensure the quality of life for foreign employees, according to the ministry's Deputy Permanent Secretary Suwit Sumala.
The Thai Ministry of Labour is working to ensure the quality of life for foreign employees, according to the ministry's Deputy Permanent Secretary Suwit Sumala. While tackling problems related to the human trafficking issue, which has been declared as national agenda by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, the ministry is also working to ensure that foreign employees will have legally protections with regard to their working conditions, safety and benefits as ethnic discriminations are not allowed under Thai law, he said. The ministry has called on employers to provide due benefits for their employees in order to increase productivity and promote loyalty at workplaces as well as to enhance the relationship between the two sides.-VNA
