Bangkok (VNA) - Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on January 1 called on all citizens to join hands in turning Thailan✃d int🌞o a stronger nation.

“May 2016 be a year with a bright future, a year of cooperation and better understanding, a year of Thais getting stronger, a year of unity and a year of creativity and development for achieving permanent strength”, Thai Prime Minister said in his New Year message.
The country underwent a line of changes in economy, politics, environment and society in 2015, he stressed, adding that the Government will make concerted efforts to carry out the first phase of renovation, map out plan for the upcoming election and take care for farmers and low-income people.
He stated that the country is striving for a real democracy by drafting a new constitution and moving on to a referendum on it. Regarding the ASEAN Economic Community, the Prime Minister underscored that Thailand needs to make meticulous preparations to enhance its competitive capacity in the community while bolstering collaboration with the bloc’s member states.-VNA
