Thai Nguyen (VNA) –A singing festival was held in the northern province of Thai Nguyen onSeptember 30 to celebrate the 55th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Laosdiplomatic ties and 40 years of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity andCooperation.
The event, the second of itskind, drew the participation of over 300 professional and amateur artists andLao students in the province, who entertained the audience with 34 performances.
The performances featuredcultural identities of ethnic groups and regions of both countries, and praisetheir time-honoured and special relations.
The organising board presentedthe first prize to the Culture School 1 under the Ministry of Public Security.Meanwhile, the second prize went to Luong Ngoc Quyen High School, and ThaiNguyen University of Education received the third prize.-VNA
