Bangkok (VNA) – Thailand’s new King MahaVajiralongkorn on December 6 cut down the number of members of the PrivyCouncil, an appointed advisory body to the Monarch of Thailand, to 11 insteadof 16 previously, with three new members, according to the Royal Gazette.

Education Minister Dapong Ratanasuwan and JusticeMinister Paiboon Koom chaya as well as former army chief Teerachai Nakwanichare the newly-appointed members.

The two ministers are expected to be replacedshortly in a cabinet reshuffle.

Earlier on December 2,Thailand’s Royal Gazette also reported that King Maha Vajiralongkornre-appointed former regent Prem Tinsulanonda as head of the Privy Council.-VNA
