Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – The Thai Ministry of Industry has coordinated with other economicagencies to take Japanese investors on a tour of the infrastructuredevelopment of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). 

Minister of Industry Uttama Saowanayon said the tour will take place on September 11-13 with 560 Japanese investors, led by the Thai Minister forEconomics. They are to see the project in person so as to encourage theircountrymen to invest in it. The EEC spans Chonburi and Rayong provinces.

Aseminar is also to be held for new Japanese investors, in addition toJapanese investors with operations in Thailand and over 1,000 Thaibusinesses to hear about strategies to be used in advancing the EEC. 

Uttamavoiced his confidence in the potential of Thailand and assured theregion is open to investment by all foreign countries. He said aclearer picture of Japanese investment in Thailand should be seen laterthis year.-VNA/NNT
