The Embassy of Vietnam in Saudi Arabia on January 18 held a get-together for overseas Vietnamese and guest workers in the Middle East country to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Hanoi (VNA) – The Embassy ofVietnam in Saudi Arabia on January 18 held a get-together for overseasVietnamese and guest workers in the Middle East country to celebrate the traditionalLunar New Year (Tet).

Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Vu VietDung took the occasion to update the participants on Vietnam’s outstandingachievements in 2018.

The ambassador also encouraged Vietnamesepeople currently living and working in Saudi Arabia to enhance solidarity,assist each other and comply with the host country’s laws.

Dung asked companies which are responsible ofsending guest workers to Saudi Arabia to promptly report difficulties facing Vietnameseworkers to the embassy, adding that it will spare no efforts to ensure citizenprotection in accordance with Vietnam’s regulations.

The get-togetherbrought warm moments to about 500 participants with traditional Tet dishes andsongs about the motherland.-VNA
