Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh called on theRepublic of Tatarstan, a federal subject of Russia, to play an activepart in promoting the Vietnamese-Russian comprehensive strategicpartnership.
Currently, Vietnam and Russia areexcelling in a range of fields, such as trade, oil and gas, nuclearpower and military techniques, Deputy Prime Minister Minh told TatarstanPresident R.Minnikhanov at a reception in Hanoi on September 8.
He highlighted the significance of further fortifying cooperationbetween localities of Vietnam and Tatarstan and suggested Tatarstan putits available strengths forward for effective bilateral cooperation oneducation and training, scientific research, oil and gas, engineering,agriculture and tourism.
He thanked the Tatarstangovernment and people for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamesenationals to live and work in.
Furthermore, Minh said he believed the visit marked the beginning of a long-lasting relationship.

Earlier that day, Minnikhanov held working sessions with theMinistries of Industry and Trade, and Education and Training, and theChamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as participating in talksbetween businesses from Tatarstan and Vietnamese partners.-VNA
