Late President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career were highlighted at a symposium held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on May 6 to mark his 130th birthday ( May 19).

Hanoi (VNA) - Late President Ho Chi Minh’s lifeand career were highlighted at a symposium held by the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on May 6 to mark his 130th birthday ( May19).

Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site NguyenVan Cong said President Ho set a fine example in patriotism, revolutionaryvirtue and morality, and knowledge, and is a great source of encouragement forgenerations of Vietnamese.

He will live forever in the thoughts of the nation andthe Vietnamese Party and people are proud of his efforts and grateful for his sacrificeand devotion to national independence, freedom, and happiness.

Some 45 speeches from leaders, former leaders, andofficials were sent to organisers, focusing on President Ho’s glorious life andcareer and also the campaign to study and follow his thoughts, morality, andlifestyle.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism TaQuang Dong said President Ho is a shining symbol in human history./.
