The 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) drew more than 10.7 million union members and other youngsters, up 65.1% compared to 2023, heard a conference held by the Union's Central Committee on September 24 to review the campaign.

Twice a week, small children in Vi Thanh city, the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang, come to Po Thi Rang Say (Tram Cua) Pagoda to enroll in a free English class that gathers about 20 ethnic minority students.

As many as 24 youths and students from the Republic of Korea (RoK) joined in volunteer activities in Mo Cay Bac district, the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre, on August 7-8.

A ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17 to mark 20 years of the summer youth volunteer campaign.

The summer youth volunteer campaign 2017 was launched in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak on May 28 with a view to encouraging youngsters to build new-style rural and civilised urban areas.

This year’s summer youth volunteer campaign will take place across the country from June 1 to August 31 for the youth to join hands in building new-style rural and civilized urban areas.
