Hanoi (VNA) – The Secretariat of theHo Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee announced its plan forthe upcoming summer voluntary campaign, which runs from June 3 to August 31.
The campaign will feature variousprogrammes, including supporting candidates for national university entranceexams, building public facilities and joining blood donation events, amongothers.
The localities set to benefit aredisadvantages districts, islands, border communes and polluted areas across 28coastal provinces and cities.
The three-month campaign aims to fix 1,000km and build 120 km of rural roads, keep 100 clean streets in urban areas and offerfree medicine and treatment to 500,000 people.
Its goals also cover raising funds for theconstruction of 100 charity houses and training 10,000 rural youths startupskills. In the 28 coastal provinces and cities, beach-cleaning activities willbe held at least once a week.
