HCM City (VNA) – Express Yourself 2019 – a talent contest for students – was launched onDecember 10 by the international education organisation EF Education First.
The contest has threecategories – “voice up”, “step up” and “speak up”, which seek talents inEnglish singing, dancing and English eloquence, respectively. Contestants canchoose one category or more to take.
The theme of the “speakup” category this year is “What are your hopes for the future of our society?”
Meanwhile, “step up”is a new section of the annual contest, which was first launched four years agoand has drawn nearly 40,000 contestants so far.
Cao Phuong Ha, CEO ofthe EF Education First, said that the contest is organised to the globalstandards with the engagement of prestigious jury members who are ambassadorsfrom the English-speaking community, domestic and international experts inmusic and dance.
It is a chance forcontestants to challenge and express themselves, while accessing experienceeducation activities to improve their language ability, she said.
Along with the skillsin dancing, singing and language, one of the major criteria of the competitionis the contestants’ ability to express their emotion and passions on the stage,said Phuong.
The winner of thecontest will be awarded a study tour to New York and an opportunity toparticipate in the Global Young Leaders’ Conference.

The third Bua Liem Vang (Golden Hammer & Sickle) Press Awards 2018 has received 1,825 entries since it was announced on February 3 this year on the occasion of the 88th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and the Vietnam - Denmark Friendship Association (VIDAFA) have announced the winners of the annual painting contest for Vietnamese schoolchildren, “Denmark in Your Eyes”.
