Stamp launched to mark Party’s 90th founding anniversary

A stamp celebrating the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) made its first public appearance in Hanoi on January 31.

Hanoi (VNA) – A stamp celebrating the 90thfounding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) made itsfirst public appearance in Hanoi on January 31.

The stamp, designed by painter To Minh Trang ofthe Vietnam Post Corporation, features number 90 on the Party’s flag with theportrait of late President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Party.

It also shows the image of a dove which impliespeace and national independence, along with some structures representing thecountry’s achievements in economy, industrialisation and modernisation underthe Party’s leadership.

Deputy Minister of Information andCommunications Pham Anh Tuan said the stamp is hoped to help improve publicawareness of the Party and affirm the Party’s role, prestige, leadershipcapacity, combat strength and faithfulness to the nation’s interests over thepast nine decades.

The stamp measures 43mm by 32mm and has a facevalue of 4,000 VND. It is available on the public postal network from January31, 2020, to December 31, 2021./.
