Spring Festival 2019 honours traditional Vietnamese culture

The Spring Festival 2019 will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts, No.2 Hoa Lu street, Hanoi from January 25-28, honouring the traditional culture of Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Spring Festival 2019 will take place at theVietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts, No.2 Hoa Lu street, Hanoi fromJanuary 25-28, honouring the traditional culture of Vietnam.

Exhibitions “Quintessence from the earth: pottery and flower” and “Vietnamesefolk paintings” are billed as highlights of the festival. Pottery villages ofChu Dau (Hai Duong province), Bat Trang (Hanoi), Phu Lang (Bac Ninh) and PhuDieu (Hai Phong) will be introduced together with their standout products.

Particularly, a set of ceramic reliefs featuring Vietnam’s traditionalpatterns created by Venerable Thich Chanh Tinh will be displayed at the event.

There will be an exhibiting space for Dong Ho, Hang Trong and Kim Hoang folk paintings,and various kinds of flowers made from paper, wood, bamboo and rattan.

Meanwhile, the calligraphy corner will be a fascinating place for those whowant to discover the art of Vietnamese calligraphy.

Also, the festival offers its visitors an array of local staples, handicrafts,interior décor, ornamental trees and parallel sentences, among others in 70booths.

Traditional and contemporary art performances are scheduled at the festival.-VNA

ꦛ Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city

ꦑ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
