Hanoi (VNS/VNA) – The Directorate for Roads of Vietnam  (DRVN) has proposed the Ministry of Transport increase the maximum speed on4-lane expressways to 90km per hour from 80km per hour.

Roads eligible to increase the maximum operating speed to 90km per hour includeMy Thuan Bridge 2, My Thuan-Can Tho, Trung Luong-My Thuan and Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho.

Recently, DRVN has reported to the Ministry of Transport on the work of postingmaximum speed limit signs on limited access highways with four motor vehiclelanes.

PMUs, departments and investors of highways need to complete additionalinvestments to enhance the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, includingintelligent transportation systems (ITS) for the project of managing, operatingand maintaining the transportation infrastructure.
