Son La, Lao provinces exchange experience in trade union work

SonLa (VNA) – Experience in trade union work was s🃏hared between thenorthern mountainous province of Son La and the northeꦦrn Lao provinces ofHouaphanh, Luang Prabang, Oudomxay, and Luang Namtha  from May 13-15.

Chairwomanof Son La province’s trade union Hoang Ngan Hoan said that the exchangeprogramme, held in the Vietnamese province, was organised to help realise thecountry’s people-to-people diplomacy and thus enhance solidarity and friendshipbetween Vietnam and Laos, and Son La and the northern Lao provinces inparticular.

 The event offers an oppo🌳rtunity for both sides to share experience and improveefficiency in trade union work, she added.

Inthe framework of the event, the provinces held talks and organised a trainingcourse on trade union work, during which they highlighted the socio-economicand defence-security situation in each country, and agreed to enhance exchangesas well as support each other in taking care of and protecting the rights ofworkers. Onthe occasion, the Lao delegation went on a fact-finding tour to two grassroots unionsin Moc Chau district.–VNA
