Lawmakers continued voicing their opinions on issues related to socio-economic development and State budget on June 15 at the 14th National Assembly’s on-going ninth session.

Hanoi (VNA) – Lawmakers continued voicing their opinions on issuesrelated to socio-economic development and State budget on June 15 at the 14th National Assembly’s on-going ninth session.

The debate is broadcast live by nationaltelevision and radio and on the NA television channel.

During the previous discussion of theissues on June 13, most opinions approved the Government’s report on thematters and the verification reports of the NA’s Economic and Finance-BudgetCommittees, especially the assessment of the state management and operation andCOVID-19 prevention and control work. They said that the reports had fullyreflected the achievements the country has obtained as well as challengesfacing the country, and proposed solutions for economic recovery.

Regarding solutions and tasks for theremaining months of the year, deputies agreed with the nine groups of solutionsfor socio-economic recovery and development outlined in the Government'sreport.

To maintain the achievements, theysuggested effectively implementing such measures as facilitating production andbusiness to promote growth; combating corruption, wastefulness; improving thequality of vocational training and high-quality human resources; enhancing theeffectiveness of judicial work and law enforcement; devising support policiesfor education-training establishments affected by the COVID-19 pandemic,especially in rural areas; focusing on forest protection and development, andpromoting domestic tourism./.
