Hanoi (VNA) – Each citizen and householdshould further raise their sense of responsibility in the COVID-19 fight, hearda seminar in Hanoi on November 15.
The seminar was jointly held by the VietnameseSociological Association (VSA) under the Vietnam Union of Science andTechnology Association, and the Institute of Sociology at the Vietnam Academyof Social Sciences.
Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Chien, from the Instituteof Sociology, suggested localities work to raise the awareness of PartyCommittees, authorities and socio-political organisations in every community, residential areas about their role in pandemic prevention andcontrol.
Businesspeople and owners of production andbusiness facilities need to be made aware of their social responsibility in helping the community amid difficulties, he said, highlighting the role of voluntary socialorganisations and charity groups in the combat.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Minh, VSAPresident, said individuals, families and the community play a significant partin the pandemic fight in Vietnam over the past two years.
Their social responsibility has been reflected throughtheir active response to appeals, their participation in common activities,and their confidence in the Government’s instruction.
The seminar is expected to withdraw lessons not onlyin COVID-19 response, but also in the management of other risks, he said./.
Efforts of the Malaysian government to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic is beginning to prove effective as a result of the cooperation of all parties as well as the implementation of effective strategies, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Vietnam logged 8,176 new COVID-19 cases in 52 localities during 24 hours as of 4pm on November 14, including 13 imported ones, according to the Ministry of Health.
