Seminar looks at ways to help Quang Ninh bolster tourism
Promoting tourism in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh was the topic of a recent seminar held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Promoting tourism in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh was the topic of a recent seminar held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The seminar grouped representatives from the Travel Department under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and over 60 travel agencies.
At the seminar, participants suggested the province address shortcomings to attract more visitors, such as the management of sight-seeing tickets sale, investment in quality restaurants, measures to attract tourists in low season, plans to build parking lots at travel destinations and mechanisms to support new attractions.
Improving the quality of local tourism workers, particularly in professional service skills, was also a focus at the seminar.
Quang Ninh province was advised to set clear roadmaps and allow certain preparation time for travel agencies when the province wants to change its tourism policies, in order not to affect tourists.
Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Dang Thanh affirmed that the Department will advise local authorities in how to promote local advantages and address challenges in the province.
Quang Ninh province, home to the World Natural Heritage site Ha Long Bay and many national heritage sites, is one of the leading tourism destinations of Vietnam, which draws a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
