Vietnam’s garment and textile industry needs to develop a closed-loop supply chain with a focus on obtaining self-sufficiency in raw materials in order to meet the rules of origin under the UK – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) for expanding exports to this market.
Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) over the past 94 years, Vietnam has achieved remarkable strides across diverse sectors, said Prof. G. Jayachandra Reddy, former Director of the Centre for Southeast Asian and Pacific Studies at the Sri Venkateswara University in India.
The Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2023, themed “Reinforcing internal capacity, generating drivers for growth and sustainable development”, wrapped up in Hanoi on September 19.
