Security ministry announces list of victims of UK lorry incident
One day after announcing the information affirming that all the 39 victims in the incident of the container truck, detected in Essex county, northeast of London, on October 23, are Vietnamese, the Ministry of Public Security on November 8 evening officially announced their identities.

After determining the victims’ identities, Vietnam’srelevant authorities have contacted each bereaved family to provide them withinformation related to the victims.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 7 conveyed his profound condolences to families of the 39 victims found dead in a container truck in the UK.
British Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward has extended his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims who were found dead last month in a container truck in Essex, the UK.
A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy and the associations of Vietnamese expatriates and students in the UK headed by Ambassador Tran Ngoc An laid wreaths at Thurrock Council on November 7 to commemorate 39 Vietnamese victims of the lorry tragedy in Essex.
A working session was held in Hanoi on November 8 to discuss citizen protection measures regarding the case of 39 victims found dead in a container truck in the UK on October 23.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
