HCM City (VNA) -🦩 Localand international experts shared research results on robotics and artificialintelligence (AI) technology at the annual international conference of the SaigonHi-Tech Park held on November 16 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The annual one-day event, with thetheme “Robotics and Artificial Intelligence”, promotes cooperation amongscientists, experts and enterprises at home and abroad in the fields of scienceand technology. Robotics and AI are advancedtechnologies that can help HCM City build and develop its economy in theIndustry 4.0 era, especially its Smart City project, said Le Hoai Quoc, head ofSaigon Hi-Tech Park’s board of management. At the event, Vietnamese enterprisescan access technology from foreign enterprises and institutions, and learn howto shorten the time for research, development and commercialisation ofproducts. “We hope to have more investmentprojects in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence in the SaigonHi-Tech Park as well as opportunities for R&D cooperation betweenuniversities, research institutes and Vietnamese enterprises with internationalpartners,” he said. Topics under discussion includehuman–robot interaction in Industry 4.0, robotics and artificial intelligenceapplication for smart cities, and Vietnam in the era of robotics and AI. Speakers at the conference includedprofessors from the University of Birmingham in UK, Marquette University andSouthern Methodist University in the US, Ritsumeikan University, KyotoUniversity and the Institute of Advanced Science and Technology in Japan. One of the highlights of theconference is an exhibition on achievements in research and application ofrobotics and AI from leading manufacturers of robots in Vietnam and abroad. -VNA
