Founded in 2014, Saigon Chamber Music provides professional training for young Vietnamese musicians by letting them work with internationally acclaimed artists. This year’s festival was kicked off by the opening concert entitled “On Wings of Song” featuring music from throughout four centuries.
Up to 31 young artists from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and others from Thailand and Myanmar will play in the Young Virtuosi concert themed “Dance Away Time” as the festival’s grand finale. Cellist Zoe Martlew from the United Kingdom, violinist Sindri Lederer and pianist Antonia Koster from Germany, and violist Juliet White Smith of the United States will conduct courses at the festival’s summer academy. The 2016 Saigon Chamber Music is scheduled to come to central Dang Nang city on August 20-21.-VNA
