Russian representative trade office to open in Da Nang city

Themove aims to support Vietnamese and Russian businesses to implementcollaborative projects effectively and grasp new cooperationopportunities from the free trade agreement recently signed betweenVietnam and the Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU), he said.

He added that the Primorye commercial chamber has waited a long timefor investment opportunities in Vietnam. He noted that Russia is strongat manufacturing machines, equipment and science-technology, whileVietnamese products such as garments and textiles, footwear and fruitsare favoured in the Russian market.

As such, he said the two countries could further cooperation in trade, science-technology and manufacturing.

He added that the Primorye representative office will create the bestconditions for Vietnamese firms to make inroads into Russia andPrimorye in particular.

He also confirmed theestablishment of a logistics business group between Vietnam andRussia to make seaport trade activities busier.

In the near future, the Primorye and Vietnam Chambers of Commerce andIndustry will seek suitable locations to set up goods storage anddistribution centres in the respective countries.

Russian experts are preparing a list of investment and cooperationfields with Vietnam, Stupnitsky said, revealing that there will be a lotof significant moves in the bilateral future cooperation.

He expressed his belief in the increasing trade between the twocountries, which is expected to top 10 billion USD in the coming time.-VNA
