Vientiane (VNA) – Visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovon July 7 held talks with his Lao counterpart, Saleumxay Kommasith, to consolidate andenhance the traditional fine cooperation between the two countries.
🌺 The two ministers spoke highly of Russia-Laos cooperative ties within bilateral and multilateral frameworks, while stressed that the traditional friendship andcooperation relationship has been continuously consolidated and enhanced basedon mutual understanding and assistance.
They agreed to strengthen bilateral relations in different fields such as economy, trade, investment,energy, education, defence, science and technology and tourism.
♏ Kommasith alsothanked the Russian government and people for their valuable support and assistance to Laos in the recent past, especially in the areas of human resource training and militarytechnical equipment, medical equipment for COVID-19 testing as well as vaccine.
At the end of the talks, the two sides also signed a consultation plan between the two foreignministries of Laos and Russia.
