Seoul (VNA) – The Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea (RoK)on February 21 convened a meeting of the National Security Council’s standingcommittee to intensify understanding with related nations to help organise theupcoming DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam successfully.

Under the chair of Chung Eui-yong, topnational security advisor for President Moon Jae-in, participants alsodiscussed other issues such as the formation of an inter-Korean athletedelegation to attend Olympic Tokyo 2020, and the two countries’ co-hosting ofSummer Olympic 2032.

They reviewed the outcomes of the InternationalOlympic Committee’s inter-Korean meeting held at its headquarters on February15.

The participants also agreed to takemeasures to help push the establishment of an inter-Korean athlete delegationto attend the Olympic Tokyo 2020, and the co-hosting of the Summer Olympic2032.

The second DPRK-US Summit is slated fromFebruary 27-28 in Hanoi.-VNA
