The Republic of Korea wishes to further cooperate with Vietnam in economic development in the future.
The statement was made by the RoK Minister of Knowledge Economy ChoiJoong-Kyung, during his meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc in Hanoi on Oct. 19.
Speakingat the meeting, Phuc expressed his joy at the fine development incooperative ties between Vietnam and the RoK, while the twocountries are moving towards the 20 th anniversary of Vietnam-RoKdiplomatic relations in 2012.
He affirmed thestrong potential for economic cooperation between the two countries,saying they should promote further cooperation in this field in order toadjust the trade balance and fully tap strengths of the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister spoke highly of majorcooperative fields agreed by the two sides, including trade, supportingindustry, establishment of a technology training centre, resourcestraining for industry and atomic power use for peaceful purposes.
Choi Joong-Kyung said numerous RoK enterprises have recently arrivedin Vietnam to seek business opportunities, on the occasion of the 13th Meeting of the Vietnam-RoK Economic Cooperation Committee in Hanoi.
The Vietnam-based RoK businesses also hostedworkshops to review and assess recent cooperative results betweenbusinesses of the two countries. This proved that RoK enterprises arevery interested in developing their business in Vietnam , Choisaid./.
