HCM City (VNA) – The Republic of𒁏 Korea will introduce its traditional foods at the 2016 K-Food fair to be held 🍒in Ho Chi Minh City from September 8-11, heard a press briefing on August 24.
The fair is organised by the RoK Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Korean Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT).
A representative from MAFRA expressed hope that the event will help expand markets for Korean food and agricultural products in the ASEAN nations, including Vietnam.
An exchange will be held, bringing 30 Korean exporters and 60 Vietnamese and regional food importers together to discuss ways to access the Vietnamese food market and promote K-food.
Several art shows by Vietnamese and RoK’s artists will be organised during the four-day festival.
The K-Food fair was introduced in 2013 and has been held in many countries, receiving warm response. Similar events are scheduled to take place in other ASEAN nations, such as Thailand and Malaysia, at the end of this year.-VNA
