The event took place at the war martyrs’ cemetery in Ngoc Hoi district.
The remains were discovered in Ya Yang forest, Ya Xier commune (Sa Thaydistrict) by a search team of the Army Corps 3 on February22-23.
Accordᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒆙ᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚingto the team, the fallen soldiers were likely from Regiments 209 and 66, and someother reinforcement units, which joined the battlefield in the Central Highlands in March,1968./.
A memorial and reburial service was held in the northern province of Dien Bien on December 19 to rebury the remains of two Vietnamese soldiers who laid down their lives during the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.
