The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and Malta held activities in Malta’s capital of Valetta from February 21-23 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Malta diplomatic ties.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on September 21 sent greetings to his Maltese counterpart George Vella on the 58 anniversary of Malta’s 58th Independence Day.
President of Malta George Vella highly valued Vietnam’s growing stature in the region and the world, while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and Malta Duong Hai Hung who recently came to present his credentials in Valletta capital.
Vietnam wants to further promote relations with Malta, especially as the two countries are celebrating the 45th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties this year, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and Malta Nguyen Thi Bich Hue has said.
Malta and Vietnam can boost cooperation in sea port management, financial and tourism services, and human resource training in maritime law, diplomacy, and foreign languages.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and Malta Cao Chinh Thien presented his credentials to Malta President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca at a ceremony held on March 10 in the capital city of Valetta.
