Reference exchange rate up on March 25

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,964 VND per USD on March 25, up 7 VND from the last working day of previous week (March 22).

Hanoi (VNA) - TheState Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,964 VND perUSD on March 25, up 7 VND from the last working day of previous week (March 22).

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,652 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,276 VND/USD.

 Meanwhile, the opening hour rates atcommercial banks remained stable.

Vietcombank kept both ratesunchanged from March 22, listing the buying rate at 23,150 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,250 VND/USD.

BIDV also maintained the samerates as on March 22, at 23,155 VND/USD (buying) and 23,255 VND/USD (selling).

The rates at Techcombank stayedthe same as on March 22, at 23,130 VND/USD (buying) and 23,255 VND/USD(selling).

Last week, the daily reference exchangerate was adjusted down on three days and up on two days. It ended the week onMarch 22 at 22,957 VND/USD, 5 VND higher than the rate on the week’s opening.

The rates listed at commercialbanks saw only small changes during the week, with the rates at BIDV andTechcombank on Friday up 5 VND compared to Monday.-VNA
