With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,853VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,464 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at somecommercial banks saw mixed fluctuations.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed thebuying rate at 23,110 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,260 VND/USD, both down5 VND from the same time on October 16.
Meanwhile, at BIDV, the buying rate waslisted at 23,145 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,265 VND/USD, both up 5 VND.
Techcombank added 7 VND to the buyingrate, at 23,139 VND/USD and 2 VND to the selling rate, at 23,279 VND/USD./.
