Reference exchange rate goes up 3 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted its reference VND/USD exchange rate up by 3 VND from July 5 to 22,447 VND/USD on July 6.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnamadjusted its reference VND/USD exchange rate up by 3 VND from July 5 to 22,447VND/USD on July 6.

With the current  +/- 3 percent VND/USDtrading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 23,112 VND per USD and the floorrate is 21,768 VND per USD.

Slight fluctuations were seen in ratesoffered by major commercial banks at the opening hours.

Vietcombank listed 22,705 VND (buying) and22,775 VND (selling), per USD, up 5 VND from the day ago.

BIDV also offered the same rates asVietcombank, with 22,700 VND (buying) and 22,770 VND (selling), per USD, up 5VND from a day ago.

Vietinbank posted its buying rate at 22,695VND and its selling rate at 22,775 VND,  per USD, unchanged from June 5 down by 5 VND.-VNA
