Hanoi (VNA) - The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,203 VND per USD onOctober 8, down 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of /-3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,899VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,507 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at mostcommercial banks stayed stable.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed thebuying rate at 23,080 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,290 VND/USD, unchangedfrom October 7.

BIDV also kept its both ratesunchanged, listing 23,110 VND/USD (buying) and 23,290 VND/USD (selling).

The rates listed by Techcombank were 23,093VND/USD (buying) and 23,293 VND/USD (selling), both down 5 VND from theprevious day./.
