Reference exchange rate down 3 VND on June 18

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 24,994 VND on June 18, up 5 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 24,994 VND on June 18, up 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,244 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,744 VND/USD.

At 8:15 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also decreased slightly.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,883 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,243 VND/USD, both down 2 VND from the June 17 morning session.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut both rates by 4 VND to 25,883 VND/USD (buying rate) and 26,243 VND/USD (selling rate)./.
