The People’s Committee of the Central Highland province of Kon Tum has approved a plan to implement the Prime Minister-approved planning of border gates along Vietnam's borderlines with Laos and Cambodia in the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision toward 2050.

The Border Guard Command of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai and representatives from the three border protection forces of Cambodia's Ratanakiri province discussed measures to ensure security, protect and manage border areas and combat cross-border crimes during their talks on September 25.

A Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument was inaugurated on November 3 in Cambodia’s northeastern province of Ratanakiri which borders Vietnam’s Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces.
