Quang Tri prioritises replacing substandard homes for revolution contributors, martyrs’ families

Quang Tri (VNA) – Authorities in the central coastal province of Quang Tri are expediting efforts to completely eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing by June 30, with a focus on households with revolutionary service and relatives of fallen soldiers.

Under this effort, as of May 12, the prioritised group had seen construction kicked off on 285 out of 342 houses needing to be rebuilt, while 1,375 out of 2,032 homes earmarked for renovation had also been initiated.

The provincial support package targeting them includes funding of 100 million VND (3,850 USD) per household for new builds and 30 million VND for repairs, specifically benefiting.

In total, 7,663 local households require housing assistance, of which 2,374 are those with revolutionary service or martyrs’ relatives; the remainder are low-income or near-poor families.

The provincial People's Committee has instructed all relevant departments and localities to🐭 fully commit to the housing programme with the highest level of determination and resource mobilisation. Implementation is being carried out concurrently with the resolution of procedural land issues. Households meeting basic administrative requirements are set for immediate construction without waiting for full documentation to be finalised./.
